Paragon Of Beauty

If its you that the world seeks’t Its you that craves for more Thy shadowy curls Entrails upon the mystic silhouette Its you whom I seek The silver celestial harmonics The tinsel herald Exquisite inevitable the vision Turns to thee For on and on and on Supportive thy brows are Calm and soothing that stare Thy promise means a lot Veritable facts unleash the hidden accusations But Lo! You see as if An image of a flawless being or thing as such Mirrors the countenance of that Man who awaits The paragon of beauty is that for which lies in the eyes of the beholder The whistle of the cuckoo The footsteps of the girl The dripping drops To that tinkling tear The moist cheek of that little boy To that of delicious dinner A wine glass or water Doesn’t really define it all Examples are of plenty That itself is beautiful When I see through I see nothing When I stare I barely relish But to gaze upon to listen to smell thee That very heart Quenches its thirst the quivering bee, beetles

Jungle Journey

Some say light comes even before the eternal beauty, some say days are more beautiful but for the first time in my life did I experience nocturnal beauty was in the jungles of Beirut 170km from Kuchira in Orissa. It was one'0'clock in the morning the darkness filled with the shadows of the forest canopies in their viridescent habiliments. The trees decorated in the soothing moonlight, the dulcet sound of trampling leaves under the soft animal paws pleased the very mind. These were accompanied by the rhythmic buzz of some unknown insect.I was amazed by the sense of tranquility and loneliness. The northern fringes of the forest was glistening with the reflection of the moon on the crystal clear waters of the Samarmudi Lake........... Some times the dead silence of the night was suddenly shattered by the screeching night bird and sometimes by the unpleasant croaks of the toads. The upper branches of the canopies were covered with some tiny flowers with heavenly fragrance and

A CALM CALAMITY

Akriti had just failed as per his report card by 3 marks in the annuals. The corridor of his life shall not change for at least one more year. Akriti knows he is not at fault its just that he can't get those logical calculs inside his creative brain.Well Akriti can sing better than any of his counterparts he can draw a work of a impeccable professional hand are his sketches but the applause is overlapped by the ill words of the reverberating sentimental pricks or emotional sermonization or sometimes even exuberant and intellectual lectures of putting in that bit more..... Yes! Akriti reached home that day but not breathing his creative finger lay pale and stiff by him,he had jumped from the 3rd floor Experiencing what was it to be a bird for a few seconds (how much he couldn't calculate)before embracing death.... logic was his apprehension and utopia his vision. What he did he knew was wrong but then he also knew of the calamity that awaited in his house when he wo

One night @ call centre

Finished reading “ one night @ the call centre ” ……………….A gem of a book another feather in the cap for Chetan Bhagat…The plot though is brilliant .Immensely influencing and the conversation with god is really a treat and perhaps is a thin that made me look at life slightly differently. It has made and given a brighter flicker in amidst multiple themes and halo….Its cool and way he writes is the perfect alloy of humour modern day sarcasm and the attitude of a true IIT’ian……………………………….. This is not an advertisement and is nothing but what I think about the book, never get influenced by what I say I am slightly crazy my friends will elaborate however this “schizophrenic attitude is a part…..of a teenagers life”- HOWEVER IF YOU ARE ONE OF THOSE KINDS WHOSE ALSO PREFER THINGS OTHER THAN HARDCORE LITERATURE ”SHAKESPEAREANISM”___________ to be specific you might find this a deal for your pocket at Rs-95 only/- ABHISHEK PAL

Paradox of Poverty (P)

In the dim flickers of parochial society Dwells a panoply of melancholy A pagentry of pain And for god's sake its not a hyperbole All their thoughts are on the palsied path of a painful parameter In the parity of the surroundings And with the parlous chance of life they manage to cling on Inspite of struggle and strife... A parasitic prodigal is not professed but in the demands of the progeny The progression proliferates through the prophecy Of a provocative proud protector Incapable of the prowess Their prospects are of destitution but their posture of potency continues in the proximity of a prudent punter But the purgatory that they seem to see Is nothing but the paradox of poverty...........

LOVE>>>>>>>>>

In My Search for freedom And peace of mind I have left the memories behindWanna start a new LifeBut it happens to be rather absurd When you know the truth Is that I am thinking of you too…….Someway We shall be together babyTo form the core of the strongest emotion called!!!!!Love yes it is the strangest and strongest feel that dwells in the human heart. The true love is not just an infatuation it is something that one can feel not reason…You cannot equate ,measure or imitate love. Its one of its own kind and it rare for it is eternal it as holy as a cherubin untouched by the crippling emots of humans which include the flames of animosity envy to the thorns of jealousy and antipathy. The futility of this unimaginable strength of attraction is that in most cases it is adulterated. It is not love between a boy and a girl I am talking about its about the love that exists between two hearts ,between the creator and the creation, the prayer and the prayed and many other……………………………………………………………….

AGOMONI BARTA

Names! Sounds familiar well it’s the welcoming news of the most awaited "thing" in West Bengal. Of course from the utterance of those "Ja Debi Sarba Bhuteshu" on that "Mahalaya" dawn as if the bells start ringing, the sky, the trees winds and creatures big and small utter that "MA" is coming. Its time____________for celebrations, the mesmerizing conch shells, proliferating 'kashfuls', blossoming buds spread the aroma of arrival. The atmosphere itself is intoxicating. Absolutely fascinating and perhaps too great to explain with mere words. For those who are in Kolkata it’s a continuation of the previous year. For those away its nostalgia and for the fresher its amazement. After all it is a once in a year experience and a humungus piece of joy happiness continue to swell up inside that bosom of yours. As if the very air we inhale smells of those incense sticks, the mellifluous sound of the dhak beats and mantra together make a rocking combinat

The Botox of Beauty

Abstain from the banner That speaks of such beauty' For it is a mere exhilaration rather than science but all it manages is but To malign the borders of beauty Strange as the bands of hairs that grow are the wrinkles free face But well even then i consider it rather bestial To bespatter the body"s blight For in the effort of flying away You're boarding the return flight As poison brought with glee Inspite of it not being free to get what is against The very rule of the lord the bourne supremacy declines like brashness Though we are moving from records to i pods After all that you show today Is nothin but what you lack but isn't it fare on what you pay To make the looks more gail and gay abstain from the barbaric deed Away from the banner for the eternal prettiness as per duty Can never be the Botox of beauty

THE TUTION TREMORS

In the room of English Tution There is commotion but no confusion All is clear and all is fine From five someday to the tick of nine The batch of mine Is an awesome lot Some have a lasting effect Just like that of forget-me-nots Some have fun some have fought Whoever it is and whatever he does it is always poor Soumya who's always caught Last day I heard a story about a boy's troublesome glory and that he is kept all alone away from mom ,away from home Just to stop him smashing his and his brother's head with stone Then there's an awesome painter looking like a lifelong tenter one who who lives in a tent i mean I presume this by his height and also that he is lean There is one prowling habit like a little cute rabbit Small but quick in his mind Easily but sharp answers he finds Then there is one obsessed with a name who in a due course has gained some fame and there's one like a witty weaver He presumes his cousin has got high fever There are some w

Sarcasm

You're Not Sarcastic At all Sarcasm isn't for you, and you really don't appreciate it when people get their snark on. You still have a great sense of humor. You just prefer a silly joke to a sarcastic one. You sometimes have trouble knowing when people are mocking you. But you do know you don't like it! How Sarcastic Are You?

My Heart Weeps...

JUNE 2197,14:20 hrs I am traveling at a speed of 60000 miles per second. It has been 35 long years since I left my house in Ixanadu. My planet has nothing but ice and that's what we eat.We are 56 light years away from earth. This time that's our destination "The Blue Planet".I have been given the responsibility of the mission having an experience of 6000 yrs. Suddenly a jerk it looked as we had hit something but it was nothing but a mechanical fault repaired in an instance. There in the distance was earth it looked to be the same from our previous expedition around 4000 earth years ago. Suddenly the jerking started and continued ,we had entered the earth's atmosphere. We overlooked the underlying planet perhaps the best in scenic beauty in the entire galaxy may be second only to ASERTUS another planet in the ERTOMEDA galaxy. Then we landed in a deserted location exact 23.6 degree north corresponding to 56.9 degree east and I stepped onto earth with a cyl

RANGOTSAV '05

When I entered into the auditorium of St.Xavier's Collegiate School.the Rangotsav had just started. The first sound that I heard were ear splitting shouts of "XAVIERS XAVIERS" and then began the program. The judges had come from all the turns and corners of the acting industry some good orators other anchors of the television. The rangotsav is one of the biggest inter school drama competitions and this was its third year. The first two times it was Xaviers that gave the other schools the run for their money and emerged comprehensive winners and so a lot was expected from them. "Devi or sanjano let us present Rangotsav tritiye" said MC Rahul De a student of Xaviers and also the son of our beloved geography teacher. The show was exquisite starting with the Loreto's and Birla High's and ending with Xavier's and La Marts for Boys. The topics were vast some about female infanticide ,some on the dirt in politics ,some on the false sense of secularism while oth

Music is the melody of life.

Music is the melody of life, the rhythm of living, the passion of going on. The worshippers of music, the preachers of music, the Divine Goddess of music are not only respected throughout the world but also are one the most beloved personalities in the world. The break dance of Michael Jackson to the folk songs of Denver, from the rhythm of Norah Jones to the melody of Beatles make them one of those great artists who walk, talk and speak music. The rap of Eminem to the heart throbbing music of Britney Spears, the fast tunes of Elvis Priestley to the absolutely fascinating Celine Dion are all the best students of Music of the west. Talking of eastern music one cannot forget the haunting melodies of Kishore ,the sensational tunes of Lata and the lovely rhythm of Md.Rafi and the rising stars like Abhijeet, Sonu Nigam and the great musical genius the scintillating Rehman. The upcoming bands like Aasman and Strings to the "Sayeeoni" of Junoon ,"Rock the party&q
