There I am back once again speaking about the things that happened, and things that might take place…

But this time is different…The last of school has made me learn a lot many more things and it was this year that I enjoyed the joy and somewhere spot light a bit too much…

The Rabindra Jayanti celebrations like every year happened this year too amidst lots of galore and hype…Being in class 12 it's a legacy that we perform a play and every year it's a success…And hoping to carry the PARAMPARA on I with the help my friends started off to do something worth while….

From transforming on of the legendary pieces of Tagore into a play, my friend Kabir and Shounak were always there beside me…Contributing with ideas and plots and script…

The practice sessions were too good to explain as we seniors had the best time of our lives with the "Bhasan" jig after every session…

This year unfortunately for the audience I was also the MC and sadly they had to bear with throughout the entire show…

In spite of my voice betraying me in the last moment by breaking into something huskier than that of Bono J…With the lines of "Nirjhorer Sopnobhinge "I began proceedings followed by Anindya Majumdar and his group of singers.

The last Rabindra Jayanti in Xavier's for my life will be etched forever in my heart for it was also the first time that the official directorial debut of this wimp called "Me" was a grand success…

Nostalgia is the only word that can best describe my feelings now as all has ended…and 2008-09 Rabindra Jayanti is history…

"Ashshe Bochor abar hobe bolte parchi na" but will never forget this day…It's a different feeling altogether to get the house at your disposal….Not that it's the first time but somewhere it was special , very special….

I thank all the teachers, all my friends…and all the students who made the show a success…

The show must go on…so my presence is quite insignificant but still we know that Xavier's will miss us all….But we would miss much more….All those pranks…those cases...those sweet words of flattery...and those heart felt appreciation will never be forgotten…never be lost…

Thank You for All That You Have Given Me…..

DO YOU SEE WHAT I SEE?

Beche Thakar Gaan

A Different Feel by Osibek Pal on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 2:50pm  To, Manimanjari Sengupta THIS IS NOT A TRANSLATION OR AN INTERPRETATION OF THE SONG, ITS THE ENGLISH VERSION , OF " BECHE THAKAR GAAN" ORIGINAL VERSION BY ANUPAM ROY, WRITTEN IN THE SAME THEME, HOWEVER THERE ARE SOME OBVIOUS DIFFERENCES IN THOUGHT, FOR THE SAKE OF RHYME SCHEME, LET ME KNOW HOW YOU LIKE THIS VERSION...   Force me to forget a paintbrush..  And learn just light and dark..   Remember ,I wont comply...  Wont Pragmatise life, if you ask...     Banish me from your life's tell tale...  I wouldn't complain.... But ask me to justify my love...   I wouldn't , not if I am slain..     Cause, I have seen it all, known it all...  Quick sand, is not just for the beaches...  It has drained life, breath, blood and love,  let alone petty riches..     Cause, I have seen it all, known it all, ti...

Just forget It!

Yippee! I have seemingly discovered one more truth about life..You might just say...hey this boy is crazy..how come he realises something everyday...But its not that..it just a self realisation that i quite excited about... I have been officially warned a large number of times to control my over exuberant side..remember writing 5oo lines on an occasion in school for being over enthusiastic...but ever since I have learnt to do it in a wiser way..or So as i call it... Now coming back to the point...As I said i have realised something.... Now i need to give a situation.... Its about a someone...who notices nothing in a mirror but himself...Of couse one would say..what else do you see in a mirror...But i have realised that there are many things that one can actually see, in the mirror... Its no more of "Mirror mirror on The Wall...Who is most Beautiful of them all" but its more of the transition that man or woman has over age.... How different a man or woman can become with every...

Untiled

It all started in Presidency College. The first kiss,  the first bout of anger,  the first getting wet in the rain. Shreya and Srijan loved what they had. They loved being in love,  cuddly, cosy and always into each other.  They were the sort,  who were outcasted from society due to their "coupletiness" . They existed in a world segregated from friends,  family. They were mesmerised by each other,  in a sense they started living in a virtual world that they created, until one day when Srijan went abroad. He realised the potential of being alone,  of creating for himself,  for the joy which he didn't know could come from sheer self indulgence. He realised the matters if the heart blunts the brain, cripples it,  makes it focus on things which need lesser attention. He realised that the relationship though beautiful was a hindrance. He realised that the world is a vast place and "perfect" can't lie within one.... Years went by and t...
